Apple inc. is rumored to launch iPad 3 sometime this fall with a main change being a 2048 x 1536 Retina Display for a complete High Definition experience. There are many speculations about the upcoming iPad 3 including faster processor, LTE support, more RAM and a dual-mode wireless chip to support both CDMA and GSM networks.
The recent updates surfacing the iPad 3 rumor mill is that iPad 3’s Power On/Off Flex cable Switch replacement parts have been leaked which points to a bit modification with respect to its iPad 2 counterpart. The iFixYouri, iPad repair shop has examined these leaked parts and described them as an external button control cabling system, which consists of volume keys, silent/ringer switch and power switch. Although the authenticity of the leaked parts hasn’t been confirmed yet, but the iFixYouri team claims that the parts are made from the same material as on the iPad 2 although the internal structure is quite different.

However the existence of a part always doesn’t mean that it is finalized for the iPad 3 model. Manufacturers are often asked to develop multiple versions of the parts to test out different functionalities and many of them even don’t get their way to Apple’s research lab.
