iPhone 5 and now iPad 3 Could Debut in August

iPad 3 Release:
There is no end to rumors circumventing the iPad 3 and iPhone 5. DigiTimes, the source that has brought us news from China and Taiwan based suppliers, reports that Apple’s components makers are ramping up yield for the potential release of iPhone 5 and iPad 3 sometime in between August to October. Component makers- Foxconn Electronics, Simplo Technologies and Dynapack, TPK Holding and Wintek, Catcher, and Largan Preciseness all going to contribute to the despatches of supposedly 6-7 million iPhone 5 units in Q3, together with iPhone 4 units and the iPad 3. According to sources, iPad 3 will release next month in a small lot followed by a larger release in September. Shipments will meet 15 million units, including iPad 2 devices. By the end of 2011, Apple is expected to ship 40 million iPad series products. They also predict that iPhone 5 will be announced in September and released in October.

iPad 3, A Review:

Analyst Craig Berger with FBR Capital Markets has reported that Apple could be releasing a bumped up version of the iPad 2 this fall, not the iPad 3. By bumped up we mean a screen resolution of 250-300 pixels per inch (ppi), almost double the 132ppi that’s available on iPad 2. Apple will purportedly call this version “iPad 2 Plus.” Berger got this information from Apple’s overseas contacts who could not confirm any production schedule for the device. Berger though does caution us not to go overboard with this news till more information is received. Assuming the news turns out to be true, will the swanky new name mollify Apple customers when they see an upgraded iPad 2 version come out just months after they’ve paid half a thousand dollars or more to get it? I think not. Maybe Apple is planning to go the iPod way with the iPad too – offering multiple versions at the same time. Whatever the case, it’s not going to make iPad 2 customers happy. We expect Apple to release upgraded products within a year between each, which means March 2012 for iPad 3. It would be better if Apple just sticks to that schedule and brings out the third generation iPad i.e the all awaited iPad 3 with a wholesome hardware and software upgrade.

From other sources : The iPad 2 + was said to be a slenderly upgraded version of iPad 2. Apple could crush those rumors if they decide to incorporate the iPad 3 specifications into the iPad 2 Addition version. This will put greater anticipations for Apple’s third generation tablet to be even more powerful by next year. iPad 3 will be slender and lighter than the current iPad as it is expected to be built with lightweight materials such as carbon fiber and an aluminum case back blueprint. It’s A6 Quad core processor will guarantee the tablet is lightning quick in processing apps, data, and information. Apple’s latest mobile iOS 5, which is iCloud-ready, is sure to complement the device’s zippy performance along with Thunderbolt I O. A higher resolution front and rear camera are expected to accompany the next iPad’s high resolution touch screen display.
